Healing Scriptures
(New International Version of the Bible)

1. My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole body. (Proverbs 4:20-22)¹

   

2. This, then, is how you should pray: "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven..." (Matthew 6:9-10)

   

3. Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. (1 John 3:2)

   

4. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us -- whatever we ask -- we know that we have what we asked of him.
   (1 John 5:14-15)

   

5. Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and week knees. Make level paths for your feet, so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed. (Hebrews 12:12-13)

   

6. For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose. (Philippians 2:13)

   

7. He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all -- how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? (Romans 8:32)

   

8. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. (James 1:17)

   

9. What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)

   

10. I the LORD do not change. So you, O descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed. (Malachi 3:6)

    

11. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)

    

12. The LORD will keep you from every disease. He will not inflict on you the horrible diseases you knew in Egypt, but he will inflict them on all who hate you. (Deuteronomy 7:15)

    

13. He said, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you." (Exodus 15:26)²

    

14. Even if you were to defeat the entire Babylonian army that is attacking you and only wounded men were left in their tents, they would come out and burn this city down. (Jeremiah 37:10)

    

15. Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security. (Jeremiah 33:6)

    

16. This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live. (Deuteronomy 30:19-20)

    

17. If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will look on you with favor and make you fruitful and increase your numbers, and I will keep my covenant with you. (Leviticus 26:3, 9)

    

18. Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard. (Isaiah 58:8)

    

19. Then take it to your father to eat, so that he may give you his blessing before he dies. (Genesis 27:10)

    

20. And the LORD heard Hezekiah and healed the people. (2 Chronicles 30:20)

    

21. "Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of my people, 'This is what the LORD, the God of your father David says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the LORD...'" (2 Kings 20:5)

    

22. God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? (Numbers 23:19)

    

23. He said: O LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven or on earth--you who keep your covenant of love with your servants who continue wholeheartedly in your way. (2 Chronicles 6:14)

26. The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power; in his justice and great righhteousness, he does not oppress. (Job 37:23)

    

27. That your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. (Psalms 67:2)

    

28. He brought out Israel, laden with silver and gold, and from among their tribes no one faltered (was feeble). (Psalms 105:37)

    

29. Who forgives all your sins and heals all yur diseases. (Psalms 103:3)

    

30. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. (Psalms 147:3)

    

31. The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. (Psalms 23:1)

    

32. O LORD my God, I called to you for help and you healed me.

33. A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all. (Psalms 34:19)

    

34. The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed and restore him from his bed of illness. (Psalms 41:3)

    

35. Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

36. If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! (Matthew 7:11)

    

37. Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. (Isaiah 53:4-5)³

    

38. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: "He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases." (Matthew 8:17)

    

39. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.
    (1 Peter 2:24)

    

40. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:13-14, 29)

    

41. Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
    And you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority. In him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of the sinful nature, not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raise him from the dead.
    When you were dead in hour sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood oppposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. (Colossians 1:12-14, 2:10-15)

    

42. He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption. (Hebrews 9:12)

    

43. For we are members of his body. (Ephesians 5:30)

    

44. May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:23)

    

45. I will ransome them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. Where, O death, are your plagues? Where, O grave, is your destruction? (Hosea 13:14)

    

46. Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you. (Exodus 20:12)

    

47. Walk in all the way that the LORD your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you willl possess. (Deuteronomy 5:33)

    

48. So that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land that the LORD swore to give your forefathers, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth. (Deuteronomy 11:21)

    

49. He died at a good old age, having enjoyed long life, wealth and honor. His son Solomon succeeded him as king. (1 Chronicles 29:28)

    

50. You will come to the grave in full vigor, like sheaves gathered in season. (Job 5:26)
